Hi! I’m Emily Friedman.
I’m a designer, researcher and human factors and usability specialist.
I earned my Master’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors & Ergonomics from Cornell University, and am a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist.

Professional Experience
My work experience includes PATH (Program for Appropriate Technology in Health), consumer advocacy publication Consumer Reports, Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation, and designing/evaluating all kinds of medical devices/heath care services and consumer goods with a focus on usability.
I’m currently the User Research & Design Lead for the UW ALACRITY Center, a multidisciplinary incubator to redesign the delivery of mental healthcare to improve reach and quality for underserved communities.
